Belmont Parish Council has a number of committees which meet regularly to discuss specific areas of council business. These committees then submit reports and recommendations to the Full Council at the monthly Parish Council meeting.

Finance and Assets Committee
Monitor the Council’s budget alongside income and expenditure throughout the year. They also produce the annual budget and recommend a parish precept for Full Council consideration and subsequent approval.
Assess and value Parish Council assets including the evaluation of land, property, fittings and equipment.

Planning Committee
Planning applications are reviewed by the committee and any that are relevant are raised at the monthly Full Council meeting. The committee may also make submissions to planning officers ahead of this meeting if the the consultation period for the application expires before the next Full Council meeting convenes.
