The Keep in the Know initiative is a free messaging service brought to you by Durham Constabulary, where residents decide when and how they are kept informed about the issues that matter most to them. Residents can register their details to receive regular crime alerts and other information about where they live, their specific locality.
The messages can come through via email as a Neighbourhood Alert from Keep in the Know, so once residents are signed up and verify the activation link on the email, residents receive updates, meaning residents don’t have to keep checking the website for updates. The updates will come automatically.
Information can include: crime reports, crime alerts, road closures, Fire Brigade information, what our neighbourhood police teams are doing, a quick & safe way to report crime & a way to register for a scheme if you have CCTV, camera doorbell at your home etc. so that the police can ask residents to see footage of criminal acts or to identify criminals & the routes they took.
This is a great initiative for our residents to keep them informed & to support our hard working Police.
