Northumbria in Bloom Judging
This year Northumbria in Bloom judges will be visiting the parish on Monday 16th July to look at the summer planting and tour the areas which have been entered in the special awards category. These include Ramside Hall, Belmont Scrambles, Belmont Cemetery and Belmont Allotments.
We would like to thank Mr Eddie Malarkey and his team for all the hard work that they put into keeping the flowebeds and green space across the parish in pristine condition.
Good luck to all those who have entered and let’s hope this fine weather continues to hold until on judging day.

Cheesey Waffles Charity Day
Cheesey Waffles Youth Project are holding a Charity Day at Belmont Working Mens Club on Sunday the 8th of October starting at two o’clock.
There will be a raffle, fun and games.
Everyone is invited to come along and support this worthy cause.
Northumbria in Bloom Awards
We are delighted to announce that at the NIB Awards Ceremony held on the 13th September at the Lancastrian Suite in Gateshead, the Belmont Parish entries collected three gold awards, three best in category and a silver gilt.
Results are as follows:
Belmont Allotments – Gold Award and Award for best in Category
Belmont Scrambles – Gold Award and Award for Best in Category
Belmont Cemetery – Gold Award
Belmont Parish – Silver Gilt and Award for Best in Category
Ramside Hall Hotel – Gold Award

Sad Passing of Former Clerk Mr Joe Glancey
Members of Belmont Parish Council would like to express their deepest sympathies regarding the sad passing of former Clerk, Mr Joe Glancy who passed away on 22nd July 2017.
Our thoughts are with his wife and family at this difficult time.
